EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

As Charles Darwin said,” It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent: it is the one most adaptable to change.”
Change is inevitable. Often, it is desirable. However, even productive change can be disruptive. Showing managers how to manage change can smoothen transition across the organization.
Change management is the process of developing a planned approach to change in an organization. Typically the objective is to maximize the collective benefits for all people involved in the change while minimizing the risk of failure.
Atyaasaa helps managers develop skills such as improving processes, dealing with dismissals, handling a crisis, implementing a new strategy – all designed to help managers deal with change more effectively.
Change management and training are the two most closely linked elements. This combination is inevitable for all organizations whenever change is initiated.
Change management, for some, is anticipation, facilitation and evaluation of change before and after its induction. For others, change management is the cultural environment of an organization where employees perceive change as normal progression. While for few others, it can be sensitizing the employees about their personal role in improving the risk posture of the organization.
The next in line is Innovation. It is about creating value and increasing efficiency, and therefore growth in business. It is a spark that keeps organizations and people moving ever onward and upward. "Without innovation, new products, new services, and new ways of doing business would never emerge. Needless to say most organizations would be forever stuck doing the same old things the same old way."
Atyaasaa facilitates innovation projects for managers to help them learn various methods & approaches to problem solving and creative thinking.
Innovation can be looked at from the following two perspectives:
Radical Innovation & Incremental Innovation.
Radical Innovation:
- Explores new technology
- High uncertainty
- Focuses on products, processes or services with unprecedented performance features
- Creates a dramatic change that transforms existing markets or industries, or creates new ones
Incremental Innovation:
- Exploits existing technology
- Low uncertainty
- Focuses on cost or feature improvements in existing processes, products or services
- Improves competitiveness within current markets or industries
Incremental innovation projects, due to low levels of uncertainties, usually follow the orderly process. E.g. the process has organizational sponsorship, funding and the assignment of a development team.
Radical innovation projects, due to high levels of uncertainties, cannot be described by this orderly process. Even though the radical innovation life cycle includes many of the same sets of activities and decision points, the reality of managing the process is strikingly different for radical versus incremental innovation.
